Steel sheet-pile symposium in KMUTT has been organized by the technical committee (TC3) of the International Press-in Association (IPA) and civil engineering department of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) on Oct 31, 2019.
The current development and practice on steel sheet-pile method in Japan and recent research accomplishments on PFS (Partially Floating Sheet pile) Method are introduced by IPA members (from Japanese universities and companies) For the current practice in Thailand, Altemtech has been invited on behalf of a specialized contractor. Mr. Visanu Vivatanaprasert presented highlighted projects involved by the press-in method. Steel sheet-pile installation by silent piler was shown for various configurations and purposes i.e., soil protection system of building excavation, floodwall protection, and MRT station. This is a great opportunity to share knowledge and experience among Japanese and Thai members.
